A dielectric Insulated Pipe Joint (IPJ) is used to isolate impedance heated pipe from any connecting pipes, tanks and other inline system components that are not to be heated with the associated TraceFREE® impedance pipe heating system. IPJ’s are used to circuitize TraceFREE® heated pipe and allows for heating of piping systems configured with multiple branch lines or drops. TraceFREE® impedance pipe heating can also be used for applications utilizing clamped sanitary tubing, Victaulic® type connections and ANSI specified flanges.

Each TraceFREE® electric impedance heating system utilizes an application specific dual wound isolated step-down transformer. Each TraceFREE® system transformer is specially designed to the requirements of your application. The transformer reduces the primary line voltage to a low AC secondary voltage specific for your pipe heating system.
