Hot Wells
Hot wells are a unique form of tank immersion heater. The hot well allows a TraceFREE® impedance pipe heating system to be extended into a tank to heat the fluids within the tank. External heat sources are used on systems that require a constant flow through a return line to provide a supplemental heat source for the heated tank.
An optional external adjustable feature allows tank temperatures to be controlled, to match desired heat distribution within the tank.

Immersion Tank Heaters
(Integrates with TraceFREE® pipe heating systems)
Immersion heaters are electric heating elements specifically designed to heat fluids in a storage tank. Each heater is selected to meet the temperature, watt density, and dimensions necessary for proper heating of the desired tank volume of the material. Tank heating system controls can be integrated into associated TraceFREE® electric impedance pipe heating control system panels or provided stand alone.

Temperature Controllers
The temperature controller is an integral part of any TraceFREE® electric impedance heating system, and is used to monitor and control the pipe temperature, as well as to supply any alarm indicators necessary for the process. Banner-Day Pipe Heating uses a variety of approved controllers, including Partlow, Barber-Colman, Honeywell, and Allen-Bradley. All controllers are sent pre-programmed to the customer to allow for easy installation and use.

Terminal Lug Assembly
The terminal lug is the point of connection between the TraceFREE® impedance system transformer and the pipeline being heated. The weld clip is welded directly to the pipe at locations identified by Banner-Day Pipe Heating. The clip material is selected to be compatible with the pipe being heated.
